Willock, Founding Minister

Reverend Maudelin R. Willock’s life is dedicated to living by example by encouraging others about helpful ways they can live up to their full potential in Christ. While there are many things Maudelin could tell you about herself, she wants you to know that she is committed to spreading the gospel of Jesus as presented in the Great Commission. Attending as the hands and feet of Jesus in serving others as she always listens to and yields to the Holy Spirit that reminds her “we are all God’s children, created in his image.”   

In a life guided by scripture, her most prominent are: "Be Still and Know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10), "For I know the plans I have for you" (Jeremiah 29:11), and "He has told you O Mortal, what is good and what the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."  (Micah 6:8). As the foundation for her spiritual philosophy, these passages focus on the security God provides, especially during times of despair, loss, and grief. Assured that the Lord is always available to hear, heal, and strengthen us and that through all our experiences, positive or negative, we can work through the anger, grief, or frustration confident in faith that the Creator plans to guide us safely through the turbulence and into calmer times.  

Maudelin is a graduate of New Brunswick Theological Seminary, Class of 2013, cum laude, and is ordained in the Reformed Church of America (RCA) as Minister of Word and Sacrament. She currently serves the wider church as Pulpit Supply Pastor in RCA congregations across the metropolitan area - recently completing 26 months  of serving a congregation in Brooklyn.

Reverend Willock is a native of Montserrat, West Indies. She is married to Prince and they are parents of two adult children Teresa Scotland (daughter) and Omari Willock (son); and grandparents to Naomi, Samara and Kurt Scotland.
